Lagoon and Waterfront Weddings in Forked River

Lagoon and Waterfront Weddings in Forked River — Sip Happens mobile bartending, New Jersey

Few Ocean County towns offer as much genuine waterfront as Forked River. Between the lagoon communities — Sunrise Beach, Forked River Beach, Lagoon Heights, the newer Paradise Point — and the marinas and boat-in restaurants along the river itself, a Lacey Township wedding has real options for a water-view reception without an oceanfront venue price tag.

Lagoon backyard weddings

A tented reception on a lagoon-front lawn, with the bar positioned to catch the water view during cocktail hour, is one of the strongest settings we build in this area. Because so many of these properties have a private dock or bulkhead, we plan bar placement on stable ground near the water rather than on the dock structure itself, similar to how we handle lagoon properties elsewhere in Ocean County.

Marina and boat-in venues

Some couples build the whole day around one of the river’s marinas or boat-in restaurants, arriving by boat for photos before the reception. If that is the plan, loop us in on the timeline early — a water-based arrival changes when the bar needs to be fully staffed and ready.

What is included

  • Licensed, insured bartenders dressed to match your event
  • Full bar build, ready 60 to 90 minutes before your first guest, at no charge
  • A signature cocktail designed for your day, with printed menu cards
  • Direct coordination with your planner, caterer or venue
  • Complete teardown at the end of the night

The alcohol itself

New Jersey requires the couple to buy the alcohol from a licensed retailer, with the bartending company pouring it as their agent — no per-person markup, full control over the exact bottles on the bar, and anything unopened goes home with you. The alcohol calculator will size the order to your guest count and bar hours.

Booking timeline

Waterfront dates in this area book especially early — May through September Saturdays fill four to eight months out. A late September or October date is often the best value on the calendar if your plans allow the flexibility.
