You have spent months on the flowers, the seating chart and the playlist. The bar is where your guests will actually spend their evening — and it is the one vendor decision people remember the next morning.
What a Sip Happens wedding bar includes
- Licensed, insured bartenders in black-tie or your chosen dress code
- A full bar build, set up 60–90 minutes before service at no charge
- A signature cocktail designed around you, with printed menu cards
- Coordination with your planner, caterer and venue in the run-up
- Complete teardown — you will not find a bottle out of place
The signature cocktail
Every wedding gets one. We ask about favourite spirits, the drink from your first date, your colours, where you got engaged — then our bartenders build two or three versions, dial in the ratios and send tasting notes so you pick the one that is right. It goes on the menu with your names on it.
You buy the alcohol, we do the rest
It is almost always cheaper to buy your own bottles than to book a package where the alcohol is supplied, and you keep whatever stays sealed. Our alcohol calculator tells you exactly how much to buy for your headcount. What you are hiring us for is the part that is hard to fake: people who know how to run a bar for 150 guests without a queue forming.
Timing
Most receptions run a four to five hour bar. Cocktail hour is always the heaviest — expect two drinks per guest in the first hour, then about one an hour after. We staff to that, so your guests are not waiting during the part of the night that sets the tone.
