Barnegat weddings tend to fall into one of two settings: a bayside property near West Bay Avenue with real water views, or a larger inland lot with room for a full tented reception. Both work well for a wedding bar — they just call for slightly different plans.
Bayside receptions
Properties closer to Barnegat Bay bring genuine water views into the reception, especially for a cocktail hour timed around sunset. Barnegat Bay is shallow and can be breezy, so we plan bar placement with wind and evening temperature drops in mind rather than setting up fully exposed.
Inland and tented weddings
Barnegat’s more rural western sections give couples the room for a full tented wedding on private land — often more space and more flexibility than a shore-town backyard offers. These setups usually need a generator or a confirmed power source further from the house, so flag your site’s power access when you book.
What is included
- Licensed, insured bartenders dressed to match your event
- Full bar build, ready 60 to 90 minutes before your first guest, at no charge
- A signature cocktail designed for your day, with printed menu cards
- Direct coordination with your planner, caterer or venue
- Complete teardown at the end of the night
The alcohol itself
New Jersey requires the couple to buy the alcohol from a licensed retailer, with the bartending company pouring it as their agent — no per-person bar markup, full control over the exact bottles on the bar, and anything unopened goes home with you. Use the alcohol calculator to size the order to your guest count and bar hours.
Booking timeline
May through September Saturdays book four to eight months out. If your date is flexible, a late September or October Friday or Sunday is often the best value on the calendar — the weather is frequently excellent and the calendar has real room in it.
